I guess both of us should clarify what "ride quality" means. To me, it's how harsh the ride is as opposed to the performance factor. I'm guessing to you it's the latter and that's understandable. I bet they feel great under "performance" driving or even basic city turns. Also, since your effective sidewall drops down to ~3" from nearly ~4.5" there's a much higher risk of bending a lip. Obviously if he has good quality wheels this offsets that but not everyone buys good stuff. I figure since that's his first question, it's an important issue to him. But I will say that it's hard to notice the difference once you get used to it. It's only going back to a more traditional sidewall profile that you say to yourself "Wow, I can't believe the difference". Take that as you will.
